AS THE Premiership continues to throw cash around like confetti, the Old Firm remain slack-jawed spectators rather than main players at the big boys' table. But while the monopoly money that continues to swirl around England ensures that even Championship sides have more financial clout and pulling power than Glasgow's big two, it is worth calling to mind that both Celtic and Rangers have dabbled with some success in the bargain basements in the last decade.
