ALTHOUGH younger readers won't recognise this building, for a generation of Glasgow skaters, ice hockey players and curlers it was a home from home.

Opened in 1907, Crossmyloof was Scotland's first ice rink and even had a bandstand on legs in the middle of the ice to entertain skaters.
