IF YOU wanted to catch a train to Aberdeen, Dundee or Oban in the 1900s you didn't head for Queen Street, you went to the old Buchanan Street station.

Opened in 1849 by the Glasgow, Garnkirk & Coatbridge Railway Company, trains from London used to terminate at the station.
