DAANISH Zahid was convicted of murdering Kriss Donald even though the jury heard no evidence he struck a fatal blow.

But Zahid was present when Kriss was killed - making him guilty, in legal terms, by "art and part". The Crown simply had to prove that Zahid was part of the group that carried out the killing.
