DIY chain B&Q broke the law by wrongly claiming its premium kitchen units were made of solid wood, an industry watchdog has ruled.

A customer who inspected the cabinets in a store after seeing them in a TV advert, complained that the backs, sides and edges were only chipboard. Just the doors and drawer fronts were solid wood.
