MORTGAGE lending in Scotland has outstripped the rest of the UK for the second quarter of the year, with the value of loans almost twice that for the first three months of 2011, according to new data.
The Council of Mortgage Lenders said 11,300 loans for house purchases worth a total of pound(s)1.3billion were taken out in the second quarter of 2011 in Scotland, a rise of 36% in number and 42% in value from the first quarter.See the full content of this document
