Summary


Glasgow City Council and the tourist board are supposed to be intent on dispelling the old image of dirty, violent Glasgow and promoting the city as a tourist destination.

Yet every day over the summer I have seen groups of tourists make their way to the riverside walkway at Clyde Street, only to make a quick getaway when they see the vandalised, graffiti-covered mess there and encounter groups of foul-mouthed neds who spend their days openly drinking in the area.
