A SCOTTISH preservation group has hit out at the lack of a national museum dedicated to the country's industrial heritage, saying it fears this major part of history could soon be lost forever.

Steven Raeside, chairman of the Scottish Industrial Preservation Trust, says he is appalled at what he claims is an absence of interest in preserving and retaining the remains of iron foundries, engineering works and manufacturing plants.
