A TOWN centre that has twice won Scotland's Most Dismal Town Award has been voted into the top 10 of the country's Treasures Places.

Cumbernauld, which this year celebrated its 50th anniversary, came ninth in a poll organised by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland.
