POLICE are appealing for a private hire car taxi driver to help with their inquiry following the death of a man who had been hit by a van.

Gerard Tait, 43, of Mallaig Road, Govan, was struck by a Mercedes Sprinter van driven by a 50-year-old man in Langlands Road on Wednesday at around 12.40pm.
