Summary


BATTERED women in Glasgow could be offered panic rooms in their own homes.

Up to 10 victims of domestic violence would have hi-tech security measures - such as solid doors, mortice locks, steel hinges, bolts and spy glasses - installed in a pilot scheme being considered by the city council. Some may also get intercom systems and barred windows in a bid to keep violent partners out.
