A THOUSAND police will be on duty for the Old Firm match this weekend as Strathclyde's Chief Constable warned of a "perfect storm" of a crucial game, bank holiday drinking and warm weather.

Steve House said the seventh Rangers-Celtic game of the season presented his officers with an additional challenge and forecast what he described as a "peak in violence".
