NACHO NOVO today confirmed he's staying at Rangers to fight for his place - despite the imminent arrival of several new front men.

The Spanish striker has already seen JeanClaude Darcheville and Alan Gow arrive. And boss Walter Smith is pursuing Kilmarnock's Steven Naismith, Wigan's Lee McCulloch, Bordeaux right midfielder Julien Faubert and PSV speed man DaMarcus Beasley. But Novo will enter the final season of his fouryear deal at Ibrox intent on battling it out - just as he did last year when he came in from the cold to change former boss Paul Le Guen's mind.
