MORTON manager Allan Moore praised his battling side after they beat Cowdenbeath 2-0 last night in the First Division.

A second-minute penalty from Carlo Monti put the Cappielow side on course for victory and when Allan Jenkins doubled their advantage in bizarre fashion, with Blue Brazil keeper David Hay firing the ball off his back and into the net, the points were secure for the visitors.
