JACK McCONNELL today said Chancellor Gordon Brown should reconsider his planned petrol tax rise if international pressure failed to bring down oil prices.

Mr McConnell made the call during First Minister's Questions at Holyrood, where he came under pressure from the SNP over the planned increase of just under 2p a litre in September.
