Summary


CLASSICAL musicians Peter Hunt, Andrew Martin, Edwin Paling and James Hamilton added some panache to training for the 1983 Glasgow Marathon by pounding the streets in their tailcoats.

The quartet, all members of the Scottish National Orchestra, were among the tens of thousands of Scots of all ages who caught the running bug after 1982's inaugural event proved such a success with both athletes and spectators.
