PAUL MARTIN, the Glasgow Springburn MSP, has ruled himself out of replacing his father, Michael, as MP for Glasgow North East.

As revealed in yesterday's Evening Times, Mr Martin, senior, resigned as Speaker of the House of Commons and his spokesman said he would also stand down as an MP.
