A GROUP of Glasgow teenagers today begin a daunting trek to a remote village 12,500ft up in the snow-capped Himalaya Mountains.

The 27 senior pupils from 17 different city secondaries have with them a plaque donated by Lord Provost Liz Cameron to mark the remarkable work of the city's young people.
