A FAMILY doctor who sent an asthmatic boy home hours before he died was competent and "fine" with patients, a hearing was told today.

Dr Julie Mallon, 38, is accused of serious professional misconduct over her treatment of eightyear-old Owen Charleston at her clinic in Cumbernauld, Lanarkshire.
