Strathclyde Police Chief Constable Steve House has warned the debate on sectarianism has overtaken concerns over violence, alcohol and domestic abuse associated with football.

Insisting sectarianism was only part of the picture harming the game, Mr House said his intention in seeking the meetings with ministers which spawned the Football Co-ordination Unit for Scotland concerned violence associated with Old Firm games.
