A SECONDARY school with more than 1700 pupils has been named the best in Scotland by Government inspectors.

StNinian's High in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire, was awarded seven "excellent" ratings in the latest Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education report - a record for a Scottish secondary.
