A DEATH crash motorist who drove on the wrong side of the road at a blind summit caused a head-on tragedy, a court has heard.
The High Court in Glasgow was told how Sohail Mohammed, 23, overtook another car despite 'no overtaking' warning signs on the road as he approached the danger spot. His car smashed into 51-year- old Michael Robertson's Fiat Uno as the two motors crested the summit.Mohammed's car then spun in the air before coming to a halt on the same side of the road as the crash victim's wrecked vehicle.Rescue workers had to use cutting equipment to free him from the wreckage but the court heard that Mr Robertson, of Maybole Street, Nitshill, Glasgow, died instantly from multiple injuries.Today, Mohammed, a customer services adviser, of McCulloch Street, Pollokshields, Glasgow admitted causing Mr Robertson's death in the city's Kennishead Road on January 18, last year, by driving his father's Toyota Celica on the wrong side of the road at a blind summit.See the full content of this document
