MONKLANDS Hospital is facing a second major blow. After losing its A&E unit, it could now miss out on a new cancer centre NHS Lanarkshire last night voted 19-1 to close the casualty unit at the Airdrie hospital and retain services at Hairmyres in East Kilbride.
