RICKY BURNS today vowed to fulfil legend Marvin Hagler's prophecy and become a world champion when he meets WBO super featherweight champ Roman Martinez on Saturday night.

The Coatbridge-born challenger made his pro debut at the Kelvin Hall back in October 2001 on the undercard of an Audley Harrison fight and will return to the venue this week with one outcome in mind.
