SCOTS meningitis campaigners today urged the Government to fund more research into a new "super" vaccine that provides protection for all strains of the brain bug.

As revealed in later editions of last night's Evening Times, scientists in England believe they have created the first vaccine against meningitis B - the deadliest form of the disease and the most common strain in Scotland.
