Man Impaled On Railings in Hotel Fall
A TEENAGER was impaled on railings after plunging from a window of a city hotel. The 19-year-old suffered serious injuries after he fell around 15ft onto the railings. Emergency services were called to the Merchant Lodge Hotel in the Merchant City area shortly after midnight.
M8 Closes As Bridge Is Erected at Harthill Road Chaos
THE M8 will be closed tonight as a new 63-metre tubular steel footbridge is lifted into place at Harthill service station. Slip roads to the area will be closed from 7pm. Both sides of the carriageway will be shut at Junctions 4 and 5 at 7.30pm for half an hour to let the UK's biggest crane place the bridge.
