A 14-YEAR-OLD schoolboy has died of suspected meningitis. Michael Burns died suddenly yesterday after being rushed to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.

THERE was double delight for Scottish screen star James McAvoy who took top honours in two film awards. The Glaswegian picked up Actor of the Year in the Richard Attenborough Film Awards for his role in period drama Atonement. The awards are voted by regional film journalists in the UK.
