Drivers Facing Months of Misery Hundreds of Roadworks On Way

SCOTS drivers face a summer of misery after details were unveiled today of almost 300 sets of roadworks - more than half of them in the west of Scotland. Glasgow already has 14 major roadwork operations under way, including the relaying of key gas and water mains, which have been causing serious disruption.

Exams Start for 160,000 Education

THE exam season kicked off today for nearly 160,000 Scots pupils. From now until June 8, around 2.3 million Standard Grade and Higher exam scripts will be handed out.
