Cara Strikes Feisty Note in Classic Play
1. THEATRE Elizabeth Gordon Quinn, Citizens Theatre, TuesdaySaturday. The National Theatre of Scotland revisits Chris Hannan's 1985 play about the Glasgow rent strike of 1915. Directed by John Tiffany, it stars Cara Kelly as a feisty woman who refuses to relinquish her piano.
PATIENCE is a virtue and few bands understand this better than Celtic wonders Snow Patrol. After two moderately successful albums, it was the shift to major label Polydor and release of third album Final Straw that eventually catapulted the band to fame.
FOOTBALL and theatre don't usually go hand in hand - unless you count the amateur dramatics on the pitch, that is. But On Our Way to Lisbon has clearly struck a chord with Celtic fans.
NEW TRICKS, BBC1, 9pm WHEN it comes to cracking crimes, the retired coppers who make up the Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad usually rely on their instincts rather than more orthodox police methods.
