Merger Plans 'Are a Safety Risk to Pupils'

A SENIOR council boss fears plans to merge primary schools in Glasgow could end up with pupils crossing railway lines and motorways to get to class. Land Services director Robert Booth expressed concerns over eight of the 21 proposals which were expected to be given the go-ahead by councillors today.
