Save This Unique Facility

As a grateful patient of the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital it beggars belief that the powers that be could even contemplate closing in-patient services. I can only assume that they do not understand the work that goes on there. This small unique hospital covers the whole of Scotland, silently saving many lives.

Whether it was wholesale fruit, cheese, meat, fish or tobacco you were after, at one stage it could all be bought in the heart of the city. Originally the area was home to candlemakers. The market hall was built in 1817.

A COMPUTER dealer who fraudulently withheld more than (pounds) 3million in VAT has been jailed for four years. Businessman Michael Voudouri had already repaid (pounds) 200,000 and when he appeared in court last month he pledged to repay the remaining millions within four weeks.

Hospital Closes Ward As Bugs Hit Patients

A HOSPITAL for elderly people in Glasgow has been forced to close a ward after an outbreak of stomach upsets. The north Glasgow division of NHS Greater Glasgow has closed one of four wards at Lightburn geriatric hospital, Carntyne.
