2004 Awards: Our Magnificent Seven Finalists

WORKERS who take time off sick are costing Glasgow firms around (pounds) 117million a year. Around 2.5m working days are lost every year in the city through staff phoning in sick.
FEWER than 1.5% of Glasgow City Council's workforce are from black and ethnic minority backgrounds. The actual number rose to 532 but the percentage is slightly down on last year, at 1.45% from 1.46%.
